Colourful embroidery threads, artisan craft

Before it was a product, it was an idea, a pair of hands and a lot of time. Ceramics, jewellery, cosmetics and candles made by Romanian creators — unique pieces, not mass reproductions. We start with a big story, about a woman who changed the history of Romanian cosmetics.

Romanian Legend

1967, Cluj-Napoca: Prof. Dr. Ana Aslan, founder of modern geriatrics, launches the anti-aging formula that brought JFK, Marlene Dietrich and Salvador Dalí to Cluj. Today, Farmec's no. 1 brand — 100% Romanian.

Miraj — from "The Red Poppy" to niche perfumery
One of the three cosmetics factories of communist Romania. For generations, a Miraj perfume was "mother's perfume". Transferred the Gerovital brand to Farmec in 2008 — but in 2018, Florin Găină relaunched Miraj as a boutique niche perfumery brand, with essences created in France and production in Bucharest.
